Kibbutz Kfar Aza
Kibbutz Kfar Aza which was one of the 20 kibbutzim (small close knit communities who live nearby and work together) which were attacked by Gaza on 10/7/23.
About 950 people lived there with 250 children, and about 60 people were murdered and 19 kidnapped
The Women's Solidarity Mission (WRJ & WRN) were thankful to have someone who’s lived there for many years show us the many destroyed homes in this beautiful community. She shared her very emotional story and of the many families in her kibbutz.
It really upset me to know that the Hamas terrorists purposefully targeted and destroyed the young adult homes and killed many of them.
She shared a story about two babies whose parents were killed and crying for hours. People couldn’t go rescue them because there were terrorists everywhere
When the IDF came to save the crying babies there was an ambush waiting for them
The terrorists used the babies as a trap. They were finally rescued and with their grandparents.
The woman who shared with us said she feels it’s so hard since so many in her support system also need support.
Despite that, she is now helping to care for 15 families who are having a very hard time with their lost loved ones.
She has gone to many funerals!
I am amazed at her strength, generosity and resilience.
