I went to Dizengorf Fountain where many people came to light candles put up photos, write notes about their loved ones and share their stories. I was moved talking with many young people from Masa Israel Volunteers who felt compelled like me to come to Israel since the war. Many felt isolated from their towns, families, and friends who they felt didn’t understand their feeling about what was happening to Israel. Most uprooted their life, quit jobs to be in Israel.
